Where will you be the weekend of April 29 – May 1st, 2011? I’m heading to Chicago for the 2011 Gluten and Allergen Free Expo and hope to see you there!
In case you aren’t familiar with the Gluten and Allergen Free Expo, it was founded in 2008 by Jen Cafferty of Gluten Free Life with Jen, who wanted to introduce Chicago area attendees to some of the leading culinary and health experts in the gluten-free arena. In just three years, the Expo has grown to reach over 700 attendees throughout the United States and Canada and the title sponsor is now Living Without Magazine.
Jen Cafferty has put together an amazing team of notable chefs, cookbook authors and nutritionists to present cooking demonstrations and educational sessions (for the list of presenters, click here). In addition, the two day event will also include a Vendor Fair with over 70 gluten-free (and many allergen free) companies from across the country.
Have kiddos? No worries, on Saturday and Sunday, there will be activities for kids, including an area for arts and crafts and hourly presentations.
In addition to the cooking classes, vendor fair and kids activities, there will be loads of gluten-free and allergy-free bloggers hanging around. My very good friend Shirley from Gluten-Free Easily wrote a fantastic post sharing some of those details and you check it out here.
