Heidi Kelly is a dedicated mom and amazing blogger. She authors the Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom, a fun and extremely informative blog on gluten intolerance. In my opinion Heidi’s blog stands head and shoulders above the vast majority of blogs because it combines current health research, written in understandable terms, while including real day to day assistance in the form of recipes and menu plans.
Heidi is highly intelligent and this makes her blog quite cutting edge. Her passion and commitment to enlightening others about gluten intolerance is palpable in her blog and her followers love her because it is evident how much she truly cares.
It’s hard not to ‘feel better’ after you’ve read Heidi’s blog!
I have had the opportunity to meet Heidi personally, as well as her lovely family, and consider her a friend.
Enjoy this blog and know that you are in good hands and will receive correct and responsible advice.
To your good health,

Heidi Kelly, the consummate gluten free mom, has created a unique blog about gluten and the havoc it wreaks on human health. It offers solid scientific information as well as some non-traditional information that is probably shaped by her own experience with gluten and the hazards it poses. She suffers from five autoimmune diseases and has established the blog to provide information and guidance to people who are new to the gluten free diet and need help, those who are just curious, those seeking guidance, and general information aimed at helping people make their own decisions about their health. She is not selling anything. She just wants to help. And the information she offers arises out of science and experience.

Heidi is one of my favorite gluten free bloggers. Her honest, authentic voice, full of humor, compassion and knowledge is simply refreshing. Her passion for learning about the issues that impact her and her family inspire those of us around her. Heidi is such a valuable resource to the gluten free community. I trust her judgement implicitly, and appreciate how she intertwines candor, wit, and honesty within each of her (fabulous) recipes. While we only have gluten intolerance in our home, I love being able to scroll through her recipe box to find completely allergen-free goodies to share with friends in need. I have learned of brand new allergen-friendly food products through her website and because of her recommendation, many of these new food items have become staples in our home kitchen.
In real life, Heidi is just as warm, giving, and empathetic as she is online; I adore spending time with her.

It takes a certain kind of person who is willing to delve into the often confusing and conflicting world of medical information out there regarding Gluten Intolerance and Celiac Disease, make sense of it and be able to relay that information in a manner that is not only easy to understand but actually entertaining as well. Heidi Kelly is that kind of person; in fact she is the best of that kind of person I have encountered.
I have followed Heidi’s journey to wellness for herself and her family on her blog Adventures of a Gluten Free Mom for some time now, her willingness to share the triumphs as well as the trials and tribulations in such a personal manner is not just inspirational but so helpful to anyone else trying to navigate this sometimes rocky terrain. Heidi’s passion, intelligence, vulnerability and humor shine through in every step of her own journey making the path easier for those who follow. Anyone who is struggling with gluten intolerance themselves or raising a family with dietary restrictions has much to learn from Heidi.
I am proud and honored to be part of the same community as Heidi and mostly to be able to call her a friend!

In sharing her “adventures,” Heidi truly gives so much to all of us in the gluten-free community. Her diligence and dedication shine through in her creation/re-creation of beloved recipes that work with the food intolerances of many, her sharing of her family’s health journey and relentlessly digging into the meaning of associated testing and data, and most of all her willingness to lay bare her own feelings on working through the difficult experiences that can accompany our intolerant worlds.

Heidi is one of my all-time favorite bloggers! Her everyday recipes fit right in line with my laid back cooking style, and she constantly mixes it up with posts on the highs and lows of free-from living, food and product recommendations from her own kitchen, and even medical info from the latest news and studies. Heidi is so real and unpretentious, yet a genius at disseminating the latest studies and conveying them in layman’s terms.

Heidi has become the go-to blogger when it comes to sharing some of the latest research happening in Celiac Disease, Gluten, and Food sensitivities, and she shares the information in a way that we can understand and completely relate to. She does it all because of her absolute passion to help this community. She is a genuine soul and asks nothing in return except for her loyal readers to be their own advocates in their health and to not give up until they have answers.
Heidi shares her own heart-wrenching struggles and personal experiences of living with her own five autoimmune diseases and how she is dealing with Celiac Disease and multiple food sensitivities with her family. Often her stories result in her readers relaying that they have been moved to tears because her stories mirror their own struggles.
She also shows us how we can live a rich and delicious life by converting any of our favorite foods into allergy-friendly favorites that are wonderful replicas of our past memories. Oh. She has a complete obsession with goldfish crackers and all things shaped like them. I cannot help but smile every time I see a new goldfish shaped food item hiding amongst her latest recipe creations.
I can honestly say I have never met anyone as passion driven and dedicated in their mission to help others as this “Glutadoodle” (as she has been dubbed), Heidi Kelly. She wears her heart on her sleeve and is fighting not only for herself and her family, but for each of us.
