This is completely off topic but Sam would like to share a few closeup photos we took of a butterfly this past weekend during our afternoon in the Sangre de Christo mountains at Sipapu.
I have never had the opportunity to see a butterfly this up close and personal before. To be still in the moment and observe as the little butterfly nourished himself with sweet nectar. Moments like these are truly wondrous.

And welcome to my blog!
Whether you're here looking for advice on how to go gluten free (with delicious kid-approved recipes of course!), or to read some of the latest medical research on celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity...or even to read about one woman's rise from the depths of gluten-free despair to a place of downright enthusiasm, it makes no matter. The point is, you are here now so let's have some fun!
Beautiful! And seems to fit right in with Adventures of a Gluten-Free Mom to me … gf moms are still living the good life, right? 😉 Gorgeous photos and please tell Sam thanks for getting you to share them with us! 🙂
Shirley

Lovely! The last one is spectacular.
I posted the turkey pastrami recipe today.
Nice shots! They can be so hard to catch sitting still, it must have been really enjoying its meal. Nathan says your butterfly is a type of 'hairstreak' butterfly…fyi!
Thanks Renee and say thanks to Nathan too, I have been trying to figure our what type of butterfly that was! 🙂
Lovely! I am enamored with the fuzzy featheriness! I've always been a huge fan of butterflies.
