Woo-Hoo! After hearing and reading the rumors about Redbridge Gluten-Free Beer possibly being discontinued, I had to find out if this was true. I just received an email from Michael Lourie, Communications Manager at Anheuser-Busch, Inc., that I wanted to share:

Heidi,
Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in Redbridge, our award-winning gluten-free beer. Despite what you may have heard, Redbridge is not being discontinued. In fact, we are looking at opportunities to expand the beer’s distribution to make it more widely available.
Thank you again for your e-mail and we hope you continue to enjoy Redbridge.

Manager, Communications

Just in case you hadn’t heard the “rumors” that Redbridge might be discontinued or you have had trouble finding Redbridge lately, Tiffany Janes wrote a great article on it last week over at Celiac-Disease.com, check it out!
I wish they would market it more so that it becomes more mainstream. I am sure there have to be some gluten people out there that would like it! So that it can be more widely carried in restaurants and stores. Now I want one…
Thank Goodness! 😉
I also like Green's and St. Peter's GF beers (imports) but Redbridge is much easier to find.
Todd,
I have not tried St. Peter's but one of my friends brought some New Planet GF Beer home from a recent trip to Denver and gave me some to try… very good!

That might be part of a larger plan if they are reformulating it, here's hoping! Does my comment that I left on your blog today make more sense? LOL! I have been hoarding Redbridge for months! 🙂
YES I was like Huh?? NOW I get it. LOL I could so go for a beer right now. I need to grab a six pack because one of these days I'm actually going to be home after work and it's actually going to be nice out and I'm going to sit out back with a cold one.
I'd read Tiffany's article the other day. Good that you went to the horse's mouth, too. 😉 Why is the letter dated 2003 though?
Shirley
Thank you Shirley… typo's are so embarrassing. I appreciate you pointing it out though, kind of like walking around with toilet paper on your shoe! 😀
Thank Goodness! I'm a huge fan too 😀
How about a complete list of GF beers.
Dennis,
What a great idea! I will add that to my growing list of things to do. Just know that you may never see your daughter without a laptop again. 🙂
Love ya pops!
Gosh. I LOVE Redbridge. I have been to all the stores in the area looking for it, and they told me the distributor was no longer getting it. I was sooooo disappointed. I would drink it even if I didn't have to. Wuz diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago and thought I would have to give up beer. Redbridge reminds me a lot of Amber Bach and Killians. Is a fabulous product. Hope it comes back soon :o)
Yes, they send you these denial emails that state it's not discontinued but when you repeatedly try to purchase it at the places that have carried it for a couple of years with no success then you doubt the email. Why can't you find it if it's available?
Hi Gina!
I have recently been finding Redbridge again at my local Whole Foods (but have not seen it in my local mainstream grocery store). It might be an issue with the distributor or store buyer.
