Alouette Introduces New Products for the Holiday Season (with a Giveaway!)

Several weeks ago I received a few complimentary samples of Alouette’s new products which have been released just in time for the 2010 Holiday Season.  Here is a snippet from the press release:

The new products include Alouette Gourmet Spreadable Cheese Logs in Garlic & Herbs and Sundried Tomatoes flavors; and Alouette Cheesecake, a limited edition spreadable cheese. All three products retail for an average of $4.99, providing a great value for holiday and everyday entertaining (click here for the full Press Release).

I am not able to personally review the new products for you due to my lingering loss of smell and taste as well as the new dairy allergy in our family, so this is more of an announcement with a giveaway! 😀

That being said, back when I could still smell and taste (nearly 7 months ago now, grrr), I loved Alouette and Chavrie products (you can read my review of Chavrie here), and they are all gluten-free, see Alouette’s FAQ page and Chavrie’s FAQ page for more information.

Check out some of the quick, festive recipes you can make with Alouette’s new products (all photos courtesy of Alouette):

Alouette® Limited Edition Inverted Cheesecake, click here for the recipe.

Alouette® Limited Edition Cheesecake Trifle, click here for the recipe.

Alouette® Limited Edition Cheesecake Crème Brulee, click here for the recipe.

Chavrie® Goat Cheese Log Rolled in Dried Cranberries, click here for the recipe (in case you didn’t know, Alouette is also the maker of Chavrie fresh goat cheese).

Need a gluten-free “delivery vehicle” for the fresh goat cheese rolled in dried cranberries?  Why not make some crostini using this recipe for GF baguettes?  The photo in that post is featuring Chavrie fresh goat cheese on gluten free crostini, yum! 😀

For more easy and delicious entertaining ideas and recipes using Alouette and Chavrie, visit each website at: http://alouettecheese.com/recipes/ and http://www.chavrie.com/recipeHome.aspx

Comments

  1. This has absolutely nothing to do with the giveaway. Surprised?

Actually, I just wanted to let you know that my potato ricer came today and I am looking forward to using it for more than potatoes. I'm certain it will come in handy on days when my stomach doesn't let me eat solids and I have to put everything through the food processor. I can do that with this. In fact, I may start with avocados just for the fun of it. It's always time for guacamole right? Thanks for being so generous.

  2. I would probably make the Alouette inverted cheesecake pictured above (I really did look at the other recipes!) It's been forever since I've had cheese cake. I don't really make it myself, and eating it out is not an option due to the crust. That recipe is so easy – it would make a great dessert for me and my husband who also loves cheese cake but refuses to flaunt that he can still eat it when I can't most of the time.

My family favorite is Brie wrapped in puff pastry — we have it every Christmas get together. But I'd have to stick to an all-gluten-free recipe for my friend.

  47. I think I'd make the Alouette® Fruity French Brie Recipe, although the other baked brie appetizers like the Baked Brie with Nuts sounds good too.

  48. I would make the cheesecake, my son's favorite! Although my brother has concocted the most delicious gfree cheescake (with a crust from gfree graham crackers that are better than the regular in our–and well the entire family's opinion)–it would be nice to have something a little easier for in a pinch, plus he won't share anything with us except the ingredient list. The only stomachaches when eating his gfree cheese cake is from eating too much LOL!

  49. I would try the Cheese Logs or the Inverted Cheesecake.

    Merry Christmas

  60. Would love to do a cheesecake! I have never made a GF one. If I feel like a splurge I go to the GF bakery and get a slice now and again, but I would love to make one and do it myself. I love all cheese and dont know how anyone lives with out it so kuddos to those dairy free peeps!

  61. Everything on both websites looks absolutely fantastic, but that inverted cheesecake looks pretty darn tempting!
