Comments

  1. I would love to make strawberry shortcake. Yummy.

  2. I love the pancake pan, but I think I'd try the GF pizza crust first to see if I could make some nice gf/ef/df calzones! 🙂

  3. Well Hello there stranger!!!! Been reading just not commenting. But THIS I must comment on. I have wanted some bisquick style pancakes FOREVER and the pancakes I'm making at home just aren't cutting it. I also want biscuits and beef stew. And dumplings. Oh.My.God I NEED this!!!!! 🙂

  4. sarah deremer says

Somewhere deep inside me is a southern gal just trying to get out. I would make biscuits and maybe some gravy. Hmmmmmmm

  5. Lisa Greninger says

I would love to try and make calzones!!!

Love reading your blog, so helpful in our journey!!

  6. I am thrilled–I used to make Bisquick strawberry shortcake as a kid, and so happy that I can restart the tradition as a gf adult!

  7. I have already tried it and made biscuits for biscuits and gravy. I think that pancake pen is cool, though!!

  8. I would love to make a decent pie crust so I might be able to eat pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving.

    • Hey Catherine– I am still struggling with "real" pie crust. In the meantime I have been having my pie with cookie crumb crust. It's not exactly the same, but it works! Grind up some GF cookies (1 1/2 cups when you're done), add some melted butter (6 tablespoons or slightly less), spread it in your pie plate and bake (350 degrees for 10 minutes) and cool before adding a filling. Mi-Del brand arrowroot cookies make a pretty neutral tasting crust, but I've also used cinnamon cookies, almond cookies, and chocolate cookies. Life is short, go make pie.

  9. I would love to try the cinnamon cake. It sounds so yummy! Also, I have been missing biscuits and pancakes. I used to like to make pies with Bisquick (way before being diagnosed), that form their own crusts. I wonder if you could do this with the Gluten Free Bisquick.

  10. Tessa Campbell says

It's that time of year for making comfort foods, and at the top of my list would be chicken and biscuits!

  11. I would love to try the gluten free Bisquick. Those biscuits and gravy sound yummy!

  12. Gosh, I'm not sure where to start. There are so many good recipes that start with Bisquick. Hmmm, I think I'm going to have to see if the recipe book I use to have with all the Bisquick style recipes is still around. I hope it wasn't one of the things I got rid of when I discovered I couldn't eat anything with gluten in it. :-

  13. Michele White says

Oh my… I miss so much- I would love to make fried chicken! I miss tasty pancakes and waffles, and quiches!

  14. danyell morse says

I love this…it makes gluten free baking so much nicer… pizza crust come out perfect.

Thank you so much for doing this…

  15. I would like to make shortcakes! How fun!

  16. MMM….Bisquick. Gluten Free Bisquick sounds great. I can make pancakes, hambuger pie, and much more….

  17. I would love to make pancakes!!! I just had a craving this weekend. I'm new to being gluten free (1 month) and still trying to figure out the ins and outs of gluten free baking. I have had successes and failures, but I can't wait to try the gluten free Bisquick!

  18. I would make biscuits! it's the one thing i've missed most.

  19. I would like to try the garlic biscuits and cheese balls!

  20. I've made chicken and dumplings, but these great tools inspire me to make pancakes!

  21. My mom made a green chile casserole when I was growing up. I am going to try that first!

  22. I LOVE the new GF Bisquick… it is the only pancake mix that (to me) tastes like real pancakes.

I also use it to bread the kid's chicken fingers with and they turn out awesome every time.

  23. Thank goodness, another good option! I have sooooo missed pizza since going gluten free over 1 1/2 yrs ago!

  24. Just today I made garlic cheese rolls from Gluten-Free Bisquick for my hubby to accompany potato soup. Yum!

  25. I saw this at the store the other day and thought I would love to have this on hand to make muffins and stuff!

  26. Pizza!!!!

  27. I would love to make a chicken pot pie now that its getting cold here in Maine.

  28. Like to bake an apple pie…thanks for this giveaway…

  29. I was just diagnosed with Celiac two weeks ago so I am new to this journey. I remember making shortcake with regular Bisquick so I think I would start out making an old familiar with the gf version.

  30. I would absolutely make biscuits! Although, some waffles sound nice as well.

  31. Jeff Kitchen says

the shortcake … made it for my wife this year for her birthday … it was a wonderful treat for her, just having discovered her gluten issue this year, to be able to have her favorite desert for her birthday.

  32. My husband is new to being Gluten Free and this would be a great to integrate "old recipes" into the GLuten Free diet.

  33. I'd like to make Cheese Garlic Biscuits (Gluten Free) 🙂 *Thanks* for the giveaway!

  34. I am actually going to attempt the pizza today. That pan looks really cool 🙂

  35. I would LOVE to make the Strawberry Shortcake! YUM-O!

  36. Definitely the strawberry shortcake!

  37. Pumpkin pancakes to celebrate the fall season.

  38. Pancakes (I can't seem to make one to save my life) and biscuits, of course. I live in Waxahachie, Texas and not only can't I get the Bisquick, I also can't get the new Betty Crocker GF products even though I've requested them. I do so hate buying a case of anything from Amazon before I've tried it first, you know? Anyway, every time I see a new mainstream GF product I think about Martha Stewart a couple of years ago reneging on her promise to put out a magazine for the best prize winning idea from her staff and all the money that slipped through her hands by doing so. Yes, I know pets are more important than our children. Have you seen some of the new vegan cookbooks with special Pets/Gluten Free chapters? I just bought one (by mail so I hadn't been able to peruse it). Are these people trying to tell me something? I'm beginning to think I need to start a campaign, you know "Allergic People Have Just As Many Rights as Your Dog, Thank You Very Much" APHJAMRAYD, nope, I don't think it would catch on. Have a great day!

    • i feel your pain! my son is allergic to wheat, so i've bought countless numbers of GF cake mixes, pastas, you name it, for him. i'm lucky enough to live in california, close to a whole foods and a trader joe's, my life savers!

anyway, i've experimented with making many cakes from scratch, and many premade GF cake mixes, and must say that the betty crocker gluten free chocolate cake mix is JUST LIKE the regular betty crocker chocolate cake mix! i must say though, that my son is also allergic to eggs, so we use EnerG egg replacer, but they are so good… good enough that my son's friends and even mine cannot tell the difference. one box makes only one dozen regular size cupcakes, and it runs about $4 a box at my local safeway. i would say it's definitely worth every penny 🙂 many of the other mixes i've tried turn out too dense (could be the egg replacer i'm using), or crumbly and dry, not these. also , they are only good for a couple of days, and best eaten fresh. i <3 betty crocker

      • That's really good to hear as I don't do eggs either and I think they're the hardest, especially if a recipe calls for more than two. I've petitioned Trader Joe's to move to Texas but they're not listening. Funny that.

  39. I'm just dying to make dumplings for chicken and dumplings!

  40. Shortcakes. Or crumb cake. Yum.

  41. Melissa Ermel says

I have made waffles and they are wonderful!

  42. I've made biscuits with the GF Bisquick and my son was really happy with them! I've made a sloppy joe pie with the regular Bisquick mix and want to give that a try with the GF mix too.

  43. I would use it for chicken Pot Pie , pie crust with Thanksgiving and so much more. Thanks

  44. OMG! MY mom is celiac and I was just diagnosed…having bisquick would be a modern miracle, a must try!

  45. I would love to try and use this product to make a chicken pot pie!!!

  46. Biscuits – with garlic, cheese and chives. I've been craving them like crazy lately and gluten-free biscuits are really intimidating for some reason!

  47. I would make pancakes for my son who is on a gluten free dairy free diet! The pancake pan would be great too! Perfect sizes.

  48. We were camping with some friends and she pulled out her ingredients for a dutch oven friut cobbler. I was thinking great I have to be a meany and tell my boys 6 & 2 you can't have the yummy dish. but I had been to the store and seen the bisquick so I had just thrown it in the camper. My friend very kindly let me make some substitutes with my ingredients to the recipe. It was wonderful even the non-gf people thought it was good. So I would love to have more of this for those types of moments.

  49. Alicia Gebert says

Finally able to make my grandmothers coffee cake again. My 7 year old loves that he can enjoy that with us and of course his favorite to have dumplings again. Love the new Bisquick

  50. When I found my first box of GF Bisquick I pulled out all of my old favorite Bisquick recipes. Thanks so much Heidi for the tip to add shortening– it really performs much closer to the Glutenized Bisquick.

I have already made: garlic and cheese biscuits, chicken fingers, impossible cheeseburger pie, impossible ham and cheese pie, apple cake, and deep dish pizza crust. In all these recipes I used Heidi's shortening-added modification for the GF Bisquick– I have not tried the recipes as they are listed on the box or on the Bisquick website.

  51. I would love to make the biscuits for my wife. We are always wanting to use the jams we purchase, but can't find that one gluten free item to spread them on.

  52. We really miss cinnamon raisin biscuits so I would like to give them a try!

  53. I made the mini corn dogs for my sister, sister in law and my kids and we all love, love, love them! My sister & sister in law both eat a gluten free diet and were very excited when the found out they could have yummy corn dogs again (ahh, childhood memories)!

  54. PUMPKIN PIE!!!!!!!!!!!

  56. Jennifer C says

I'd love to make some chocolate chip pancakes. Yum!

  57. Awesome! I would definitely make pancakes and some biscuits too!

  58. I have made the oven fried chicken recipe (on the side of the box)–and it was a big hit with the g-free and non-g-free both in our home.

  59. Thank you so much for this giveaway!! I am especially anxious to make the gluten-free pizza and calzones. I love the pancake pen too!

    Thanks Heidi!!!

    Andrea@Mikeal.org

  73. We've used the GF Bisquick to make crepes and to batter chicken nuggets. Yummy! I'd love to batter onion rings with it too. (I know it's not healthy, but sometimes I crave something fried!)

  80. What you would like to make (or have already made) with the new Gluten Free Bisquick?

-Honestly, I just want to make pancakes. I have tried two recipes to mixed results from the child who has had to go for the most part gluten free. That and the quick pot pie that I used to make (though the cream of chicken soup would need to be re-evaluated as well). 🙂

  81. Tammy Frankenberger says

We love the GF Bisquick, and it's used at least twice a week in recipes. The pizza crust is good; the pancakes are marvelous; the coffee cake is superb; the hamburger pie is yummy. Need I say more? I just wish they sold BIGGER boxes!
